My husband's sister lives in Anchorage, Alaska with her two kids. Right now they are down visiting, so we had a big family BBQ over the weekend.
I love this time of the year in Southern California. It's not too hot yet during the day and the evenings are perfect for eating outside. It's easy to just throw some burgers and sausage on the grill and have dinner ready in minutes.

My niece is so cute, she was the flower girl in our wedding 2 years ago. At the BBQ, she went straight to the King's Hawaiian Buns. As 7 year olds can be, she didn't want anything else on the bun except the hamburger and cheese.
She told me she really liked her cheeseburger. I tried a King's Hawaiian Bun too and enjoyed it. I've always loved the King's Hawaiian rolls, so turning it into a hamburger or hotdog bun is genius. The buns are large and stand up to adding lots of sauces and toppings to your burger.
My husband tried the hotdog bun for his sausage and we couldn't figure out, at first, how they were cut. Unlike other buns, these are cut horizontally, these are cut down the middle. Once we figured that out they worked great. Although I think they would hold up better for just a hot dog as they are a little on the small side for sausages.
A great time was had by all. And, I will definitely be buying King's Hawaiian buns again for summer BBQs. I'm thinking BBQ pork in the crockpot would taste really good on top of one of the Sandwich buns.
